Independent Databricks Consultant

Senior Databricks expertise, without adding full-time headcount.

I architect, build, and modernize production-ready Databricks solutions. Bring me in to lead the technical direction, work hands-on as an architect and engineer, or own a focused project or POC through production.

  • Architecture through production delivery
  • Hands-on technical leadership
  • Projects and POCs

How I Can Help

Senior ownership across the Databricks delivery lifecycle.

The work can begin with strategy and architecture, move directly into hands-on engineering, or focus on a clearly defined delivery problem.

01

Architecture and Technical Direction

Set the target architecture, engineering standards, platform patterns and technical roadmap. Provide senior direction while helping the internal team make sound implementation decisions.

02

Hands-on Data Engineering

Build and modernize production pipelines, lakehouse layers, data models and transformation workloads using Python, PySpark, SQL, Delta Lake and the broader Databricks platform.

03

Governance and Production Readiness

Implement Unity Catalog, data quality, deployment patterns, CI/CD, observability and operating standards so the platform can move beyond an initial build and function reliably in production.

04

POCs and Scoped Delivery

Prove an approach quickly, guide an internal team through a proof of concept, or take a defined scope from initial requirements through a working solution independently.

Engagement Models

The level of involvement your project actually needs.

Model 01

Technical Lead

Own the architecture and technical direction, establish patterns, guide delivery and unblock the engineering team.

Model 02

Hands-on Architect and Engineer

Work directly in the platform, designing the solution and building the pipelines, models, governance and deployment components.

Model 03

Defined Project or POC

Take responsibility for a focused scope and deliver it independently, or work alongside the client's team to prove an approach before a larger commitment.

About Brandon

Independent Databricks consultant, architect, and engineer.

I'm an independent Databricks consultant, solutions architect, and data architect. I work with organizations in whatever capacity a project needs — as the senior technical lead, as a hands-on architect and engineer, or by taking a defined scope and delivering it independently.

I bring both a technical and business perspective, with experience spanning data engineering, data science, finance, analytics, marketing, and strategy. The goal is to deliver data platforms that solve a real business problem and remain usable, governed, scalable, and maintainable after the project is complete.

Contact

Have a Databricks project that needs senior technical ownership?

The fastest path is a direct conversation. Book 30 minutes and we will get straight into the architecture, the problem, and whether I am the right person for it.

Come prepared with

  • Current Databricks footprint (workspaces, cloud, scale)
  • The outcome you need and by when
  • Who owns the platform today

Schedule

Book a 30-minute project discussion

  • A 30-minute working conversation, not a sales call
  • You describe the platform, the problem, and the constraints
  • I tell you directly whether I am the right fit
  • If it makes sense, we outline scope, timing, and engagement model
Discuss a Project

Scheduling opens in a new tab. A few short questions help me prepare.
